TaxLex India is a Delhi-based law practice founded on the conviction that every person and business deserves rigorous, honest legal counsel — not just reassurance.
"Every case represents someone's livelihood, property, or peace of mind — it deserves my full attention, not a fraction of it."
Adv. Raj Kumar Karan founded TaxLex India after a decade of practice spanning civil, criminal, taxation, and commercial litigation. Enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi and regularly appearing before the Delhi High Court, ITAT, GST Appellate Authorities, and District Courts, he brings both courtroom experience and tax tribunal expertise under one focused practice.
His model is deliberately personal: he takes on matters where he can give undivided attention. When you instruct TaxLex India, the advocate you consult is the one who drafts your reply, appears in court, and signs every submission. There is no delegation to juniors — only direct, accountable representation.
The principles that define why TaxLex India exists and what we are building towards.
To be Delhi's most trusted legal practice for taxation and litigation matters — where clients receive the same quality of representation regardless of the size of their matter, and where every outcome is achieved through rigorous preparation, not chance.
To make access to quality legal counsel genuinely equitable — providing individuals, startups, and corporations with the same strategic depth and direct advocacy that was once available only to those with large firm retainers. Every client. Every matter. No exceptions.
Transparent fees agreed in writing before engagement begins. Regular case updates without prompting. Honest advice even when it is not what you want to hear. And every submission, pleading, and reply drafted and reviewed by the principal advocate personally.
Six principles that drive every engagement — from the first consultation to the final resolution.
The principal advocate handles your matter personally — no juniors, no delegation at any stage of the proceedings.
Fees agreed upfront. Regular updates without asking. Honest assessments — even when the picture is difficult.
Quality representation at reasonable, structured fees. A tight budget should never force a bad legal decision.
Specialised command of GST and income tax laws — statutes, departmental circulars, and current tribunal trends.
In law, a missed deadline can be irreversible. Every notice, filing, and court date is tracked and met without exception.
The initial consultation is always free. You receive an honest assessment of your matter before any engagement begins.
Six distinct practice areas — each handled with the same standard of thorough preparation and direct advocacy.
Strategic representation before Delhi HC and District Courts.
End-to-end GST compliance, notices and appellate proceedings.
Notices, assessments and ITAT appeals handled with precision.
Decisive action under Section 138 NI Act to recover dues.
Practical legal support from formation through everyday compliance.
Title verification, documentation and dispute resolution.
"Law is not a service industry selling comfortable answers — it is a discipline demanding rigorous preparation, honest counsel, and unflinching commitment to the client's lawful interest."
— Adv. Raj Kumar Karan, Founder
At TaxLex India, we treat every case as if it is the most important matter on our desk — because to the client it is. We prepare as though every matter will be contested hard. We advise as though our integrity depends on it. And we represent with the conviction that our client's cause is just until the law says otherwise.
Every submission, reply, and pleading is researched and drafted before it is filed. Good outcomes are built in the library, not improvised in court.
We tell you what we genuinely believe about your prospects — including when they are not good. A client who understands their situation makes better decisions.
We maintain a caseload we can serve well. We do not overcommit for revenue. If we cannot give your matter the attention it deserves, we say so.
Everything you share with us is held in complete confidence. No information passes to third parties without your explicit instruction and consent.
A missed deadline in law is often a matter that cannot be revived. We treat every limitation period, notice date, and court date as non-negotiable.
Our relationship does not end at judgment. We debrief on outcomes, advise on next steps, and flag anything that requires attention going forward.
Excellence is not a goal at TaxLex India — it is the baseline. These are the concrete standards we hold ourselves to on every matter we accept.
Fees are discussed, structured, and agreed in writing before any formal engagement begins. No invoice arrives without prior notice.
All inquiries and client queries are responded to within 24 hours. Urgent matters involving notices or hearings receive same-day response.
Before representing you, we document the legal strategy, anticipated timeline, and fee structure in writing. Nothing proceeds on verbal understanding alone.
Every limitation period, filing date, and court hearing is tracked from the day of instruction. We have never missed a client deadline.
You are updated after every significant development — hearing, order, or communication — without needing to ask. Silence is not our style.
Once your matter closes, we review the outcome with you, advise on compliance requirements, and identify anything that needs attention going forward.
TaxLex India's reputation is not built on marketing — it is built on clients whose tax matters were resolved, whose disputes were settled, and whose businesses are protected because of clear, committed legal counsel.
The initial consultation is free, confidential, and always with the principal advocate — not a junior.
